Ways to work together

Fractional or interim

Priced individually

A senior technology lead in your business, on a fixed, short-term contract.

Work on my own IT equipment or yours, you choose
When it makes sense

When you need a senior lead, but not forever.

  • Between hires.

Your CTO or IT Director has left, and the search will take months. I keep things running and the decisions moving.

  • A programme that needs leading.

A migration, a new platform or a system replacement, with a clear start and end.

  • A turnaround.

Delivery has stalled, costs have grown or suppliers have lost their way. I get it back on track.

  • Preparing for growth or investment.

Getting the technology, team and documentation ready for scale, due diligence or a sale.

  • Building the team.

Hiring, structure and ways of working, so the next permanent leader inherits something solid.

  • Technology at board level.

Strategy, budgets and reporting, from someone who can explain technology in business terms.

How it works

Fixed scope, fixed term, clear outcomes.

A fractional or interim role is a fixed, short-term contract: a set number of days a week or month, for an agreed period, with clear goals from the start. I work as part of your leadership team, on site when it matters and remotely when it does not. When the work is done, I hand over cleanly to your team or your permanent hire.

What to expect

  • Days, term and goals agreed up front
  • Hybrid: on site for teams, workshops and suppliers, remote for the rest
  • Part of your leadership team, reporting to the owner or board
  • Hands-on where it helps, not just advice
  • A clean handover at the end
  • Priced individually, based on days and term
Where I work

On site within about 50 miles.

Most fractional and interim work is hybrid. I am happy to be on site regularly within about 50 miles of Edenbridge, which covers London, Surrey, Sussex, most of Kent and parts of Essex.

Further afield works too. I travel regularly to Scotland for a long-term client, so distance is not a barrier. It simply needs some planning, so we both get the most from the time on site.

There are no mileage charges or hidden extras: travel is included in one agreed, fixed cost.
